Hi There,

I have a passion for helping students become readers and gain the ability to comprehend written text. My goal is to help students reach their full potential.

My Story

Hi, I'm Karah Weaver! I am a certified Dyslexia Therapist with over 7½ years of hands-on experience helping students unlock the power of reading. When I'm not working with students, you'll find me out on a hiking trail, paddling a kayak, or wrangling one of my many beloved animals — yes, you read that right, I have quite the crew at home!

My journey began with a simple but powerful belief — that every child deserves to experience the joy of reading. Over the years, that belief has driven me to build a career dedicated to students with dyslexia and dysgraphia, meeting each one exactly where they are and helping them discover just how capable they truly are.

I specialize in therapy-level instruction for students with dyslexia and dysgraphia, using an Orton-Gillingham based curriculum rooted in the latest research. For 2½ years I have also worked with Scottish Rite's Take Flight program — one of the most respected dyslexia curricula available. My approach is multisensory, structured, and always tailored to the individual learner, because no two students are the same.

Beyond the therapy room, I have served as my district's Dyslexia Coordinator for six years and have working knowledge as a 504 Coordinator — giving me a deep understanding of PLAAFPs, IEPs, ARD Committee meetings, goals, and progress reports. I know the system from the inside, and I use that knowledge to advocate for and support every student I work with.

Whether your child is just beginning their journey or has been struggling for years, I am here to give them the tools, the confidence, and the skills they need to succeed — not just in school, but for life. When it comes to your child, you deserve someone who shows up with expertise, compassion, and a whole lot of heart. I can't wait to be part of their story.

Life outside of sessions is full and wonderfully chaotic — and I wouldn't have it any other way! My husband and I are proud parents of three amazing kids, ages 22, 20, and 17. Our home is also shared with 2 dogs, 2 cats, a bird, 2 horses, and 10 chickens. Safe to say, I am a total animal lover!
